Modern Manners
For Modern Kids
Kidiquette provides educational workshops and seminars focused on teaching children modern manners, social skills, and age-appropriate etiquette for everyday life.
What Kids Learn
Kids are introduced to age-appropriate table etiquette, including how to sit, use utensils, pass items politely, and participate in mealtime conversation. These lessons make dining—whether at home or out—more relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.
Modern manners meet modern devices as children learn how to use phones, tablets, and other tech respectfully in public and social settings. We teach mindful screen habits, digital awareness, and how to balance tech time with real-world connection.

Kidiquette was founded by Kim Schwartz—a Long Island mom of two, writer, and former Long Island editor for Mommy Poppins and Editor-in-Chief of MASK Magazine, a quarterly parenting magazine—after noticing a significant gap in what children are learning about civics, manners, and everyday social etiquette.
Through years of covering family life, education, and community culture, Kim saw firsthand how often children are expected to “just know” how to navigate social situations—without ever being explicitly taught the skills to do so. With a background in theater education, she also understands the power of role-play, body awareness, and practice in building confidence and communication. As a parent, she felt the same tension many families experience. There’s only so much we can teach at home when the world around our children doesn’t consistently reinforce kindness, respect, or thoughtful behavior.
While traditional etiquette schools tend to focus on formality, Kidiquette takes a modern, kid-friendly approach. We teach children the why behind good manners, helping them see how small, everyday skills add up to real social confidence. Our workshops are interactive and experiential—making etiquette feel natural, not stuffy—and empowering kids to move through the world with ease, awareness, and respect, from the playground to the classroom and beyond.
